We finally shoot a few of the Poleva slugs that Roberts from Latvia generously sent to us. These are slugs very few Americans even knew existed. Even though they are over 30 years old and are Soviet-era technology, they are very accurate. Had we had a scoped shotgun, the accuracy would have been even more impressive.
Historically in Soviet Russia, it was nearly impossible to obtain a rifle but people could use shotguns for hunting. Using the same gun for hunting birds, they came up with clever slugs so they could take large game too.
