If NightFlyyer built a UAV, it might look like this. The T.A.D.P.O.L.E. (Tactical Air-Distantly Piloted & Logistics Eye) from the “Throw away Drone” Series was designed for Forward flight surveillance but actually can hover.
. I’ve been experimenting with NO tail rotors and ETRM’s for 25 years. I always dreamed of turning my invention into a cheap unmanned aerial vehicle. With the inspiration to build the body with upper surface laminar flow towards the tail fin, and an easy access for loading accessories, my long time friend Bud Parriott decided to build a body and do this project. It took 2 years. He sent the body to me and I added the electrical mechanical gear to come up with this “Throw away Drone” that is STOL, can be dropped from planes, or even catapulted.
Not new as Pylon racers used one bladed props back in the ’30s on planes but never tried them on helicopters, I did years ago. By using only 1 blade to reduce cost, turbulence, and noise, (as I have proven with Blade 400 heli, MQX quad, MCPX helis, ESky 900 helis, Kyosho Gas Nexus and others) we show the results in the video..

Adrian Zobrist took my 1 bladed idea to the extreme with 3D.

Ask him and he will tell you he got his inspiration from my first videos on 1 bladed helis and airplanes..
